I never like these developer 'gameplay videos' because they arent actually playing, they are showcasing.
Anyway looks generally good but you can also see that there is a lot of work that still needs to be done.

It's not looking bad but I can't say I'm impressed either. From what they've showed so far the combat system is a state that doesn't bring anything new or interesting to the table and I don't have high hopes that will ever become something revolutionary simply because this department was never the strongest asset of a Bioware game. Pretty much the same thing can be said about the classes at this point.

Even though this is a mmo, if I'm gonna buy the game, I'll prolly do it for the story and the immersion in the game universe which I'm confident Bioware won't fail to deliver.

I'm aware that the game is in a very early phase of development but I have a feeling we won't see many surprises in the future.

Basically,

that

Also I don't like the graphics style much (but I guess it looks that way because its star wars), and well its generally not the best looking graphics but that isn't that important for an mmo anyway... and I already didn't like the "pew pew laser guns" in the movies so that didn't change either :>

Well, gonna see if I'll try it at some point or not... can't keep track of and try all the mmos out there anyway
(and well, most mmo's will fail anyway)
Aurora swims in the ether
Emerald fire scars the night sky
Amber streams from Sol
Are not unlike the waves of the sea

Well I guess this will be the selling point though.
As long as the story is amazing the game will glue you to your chair, if the gameplay is at least okayish.
Because indeed, so far combat doesn't look all too dynamic.

Yeah Richard Garriott is such a moron. What he did in Ultima Online was fantastic but his Tabula Rasa failed. It failed because it took 6 years to release a fucking game and game mechanics wasnt so great + too many technical problems like low fps, graphics, client errors and unstable game bla bla bla :p

Uhm oke oke... Lets say this one won't fail but i dont think that too many players will play this game. Population of Sci-fi mmorpg players are not that much, face it (:

Please dont make me hate you now FSD, yes tabula rasa was fail, but please dome compare SWTOR with that.

Garriott hat a shitty company, you cant expect the kings of RPG / Adventure Bioware and Lucasarts to make the same Mistakes as he did

I'm leaning towards Empire but it's still too early to say, gotta have all the classes revealed first! :)
